Fireworks Misuse

Dear Resident

We are reaching out to raise awareness following recent reports of fireworks being deliberately aimed at buildings in the Keeperswood and Liptrott areas.

This behaviour is not only illegal but extremely dangerous. Fireworks are explosives and can cause serious injury, damage to property, and distress to residents, pets, and vulnerable members of our community. Misusing them in this way risks lives and undermines the safety of our neighbourhoods.

We urge everyone to:

Use fireworks responsibly and only in accordance with the law.

Never aim fireworks at buildings, vehicles, or people.

Report any suspicious or dangerous activity to Lancashire Police via 101,Lancashire Constabulary website or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Speak to young people about the risks and consequences of firework misuse.

Our Neighbourhood Team is actively monitoring the situation and will be conducting patrols in the affected areas. We are working closely with local partners to ensure everyone can enjoy the season safely.
